In this post, we are talking about flat bottom bag, which is also called box bottom bag, block bottom bag or even eight edged sealed bag (this is the most called name in china market). The flat bottom bag is gusseted both in the bottom and the sides, so it will be able to hold more volume at the same physical size, and at the same time present great standing effect.
For the above layout of 12oz coffee bag, the size is W125*H230+G80mm, edge seal width 8mm. There are also some description for the size, like (W125+40)*(H230+40)*2, that is upon the routine in certain places.
Filled effect
There should be some space left after the coffee beans are filled. Generally, the product is going to take up to 80~90% of the whole package.
